There's lots of good about this building, but if you're thinking of renting you should know a few things. 1. Elevators are frequently out of service. For about 18 months, there was only 1 working elevator. And it often happens when there's only 1 elevator or no elevator. There's lots of good about this building, but if you're thinking of renting you should know a few things. 1. Elevators are frequently out of service. For about 18 months, there was only 1 working elevator. And it often happens when there's only 1 elevator or no elevator. Not sure why the building doesn't invest in making sure BOTH elevators work... it's a pretty new building. 2. These aren't union doormen. They're part-time workers. A few are great, but most just sit behind the desk on their phones and don't pay attention to people coming and going. They often "go to the bathroom" and leave the desk unattended for long periods of time. Many get surly if you ask them to help you with packages or other little tasks. 3. It's well known that the building engages in short-term rentals, which may or may not be legal. Be prepared to have lots of "new" or "temporary" residents coming and going in the building. 4. The A/C units are incredibly inefficient, so your electrical bill can be a few hundred dollars in the summer. [less]
