This building's rental history and reuse of the same photos for multiple different apartment listings was the first red flag, but I went against my better judgement. The broker accepted my application and required a deposit. Despite making 50x the rent and having an 820 credit score, they told me I didn’t qualify and that I had to purchase a Tenant Rental Bond from a third party company. When I was finally “approved” they sent me a Blumberg lease which they had edited to include illegal clauses and rider terms. When I questioned some of this they stopped responding to me and relisted the apartment.
