Discussion about The Park Loggia at 15 West 61st Street in Lincoln Square

I made a purchase in this building and I must say this is the most unpleasant house purchase experience ever in my life. When I first visited my apartment for the first walkthrough, the moment I walked into my apartment, I found out they have furnished the unit as a model apartment and the building availability lists and brochures are on the breakfast bars. This is 15 days before my closing and around 6 months after I signed the contract. I didn't know why they could still show my apartment in contract to the public, without notifying me, and when they scheduled the walkthrough with me, they didn't even bother to clean up the furniture? I have a hard move-in schedule, and the first residential team who responsible for the punch list coordination promised to complete all the items on the punch list the week of closing. I have been very cooperative to work with them and completed the closing during this pandemic. However, after my closing, the first residential team suddenly disappeared. No response, no update when I tried to understand the progress. I visited my apartment after one month, when I opened the door, I found my apartment has been used as the contractor's storage room!! The working supplies, bags of trashes, floorings all piled up and spread in my living room. (I took pics and videos)! I cannot believe what has happened and reached out to the punch list team, no response again! I also emailed the onsite sales team and the building residential managers, none of them are willing to help! After two days, they finally show up and ask someone to move those trash bags and supplies from my apartment. After that, they disappeared again!! I couldn’t remember how many times I called and emailed them to check on the updates, but every time they either not responsive, or promise me something but never delivered. Now the school might open and I must move back to the city but I still don’t see any progress with my apartment!! I heard some other homeowners in the building face a similar problem; the units closed in March still have punch list not completed. The young guy from the first residential told us that the sponsor has a financial dispute with the contractor which caused the delay. I’m not sure whether it’s true but one thing is very clear, they are totally losing the control of the management and we’re paying for that as the homeowners. With all these messes up and poor service, it has diminished any desire on my end to be patient and flexible. For anyone who considers buying at this building, reconsider it only if you are ready to deal with that bullshit!! [less]
