Hello Everyone, I know there have been some discussions on this forum re: sound-proofing windows, but I could not find anything recent (i.e. last three years), so I am posting and asking to gather more recent info in comparing these two options, so that we can make the most informed decisions for us. If you have sound-proofing windows from either of these two companies, can you kindly answer the following Qs: 1. Which of the two cut out the most noise, assuming the highest quality windows/options offered from each firm, or the roughly equivalent windows from each? 2. Will it work for the humming noise along a highway, not just a busy avenue (i.e. Lexington Avenue)? For example, windows facing the BQE or the Henry Hudson Parkway? Or windows facing the Manhattan Bridge or the George Washington Bridge? 3. How effective are these windows at cutting out noise? Is it really 95%, assuming the option with the most noise reduction values? 4. How do you compare the aesthetics of the additional windows installed? Which of the two seem to blend more seamlessly in terms of style, color, design, etc. with prior windows that we have (i.e. double-hung windows)? 5. From an older thread on this forum five years ago, I gather that CitiProof windows seems to be better in quality and design, but they are also more expensive with a longer wait time between order and installation, compared to CitiQuiet. Is this still the case now if you have a recent experience to share? 6. Any other pros and cons beyond the above? Any input or feedback will be very much appreciated, esp. if you have used the windows for a long time *or* if you have recent experiences with both companies, as there can be changes that are not reflected in the older threads.
