Do not rent in 315 Ocean Parkway from Jonas Equities or Arbern 315 Realty. #1 Bedbugs - They told me they were gone before I signed my lease come to find there are still units in the building with bed bugs. After speaking with tenants, they did not properly exterminate the bed bugs and has been an issue for over a year. #2 Rude management - I was trying to read over my lease prior to signing it and Phyllis started getting upset because I was the only person who tried to read it instead of signing it saying its a cookie cutter lease agreement. Apparently not because I was unaware of a rent concession when I signed that lease. Which brings me to #3 #3 Rent prices - These scumbags raised my rent over 40% upon dropping the rent concession. I can't afford to live here after 1 year. #4 "Renovations" - That's in quotes for a reason. The lobby is being renovated by shady contractors. There are no permits visible except expired cease work orders. They then try to use that to justify a MCI increase. #5 Repairs - When you have a problem in your apartment, the super is only available Mon-Fri until 4PM. Then you're on your own. My first few days here was on the weekend and my toilet didnt flush. You can imagine how pissed off I was when I was told he would come on Monday to fix it. #6 Heat - I have never been so cold before in my life in any of the apartments I've been living in for the past 30 years. I put in a 311 heat complaint and I never seen the super come up so fast to only tell me that there is nothing he can do. The boiler is on a timer he claimed. Well set it so it turns off more frequently when it was literally 0 degrees outside. DO NOT RENT FROM JONAS EQUITIES, ARBURN 315 REALTY, or at 315 Ocean Parkway. You will be treated like garbage.
