The Grand Chelsea

Hi everyone, I went to an Open House in this building this past weekend. LOVED the apartments in here, mostly because I'm looking for a high floor 1 BR or 2 BR with a private balcony. Hi everyone, I went to an Open House in this building this past weekend. LOVED the apartments in here, mostly because I'm looking for a high floor 1 BR or 2 BR with a private balcony. Can any current or former residents weigh in on the pros and cons of living here? I have a few specific specific questions: 1)The building is in NYC Storm Zone 5. Not sure if I should be too concerned about this. If you lived here during Sandy, what was your experience? 2)In general, if you buy a higher floor unit, and you're in zone 5 & 6 (not 1 through 4) are you and your possessions safe? Or would you be better off just avoiding all buildings in any storm zone (because of insurance issues, etc). I know that there's a long thread on this. I have read through it, but there doesn't seem to be consensus. I think Zone 5 must be pretty decent because why would brokers write "Zone 5" in big bold letters to reassure buyers for certain listings in Chelsea and in the Village? Thanks! [less]
