Building: 151 West 74th Street

This is an intimate pre-war video intercom elevator building with four apartments per floor (with some combinations) situated on tree-lined West 74th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues. It is a pet friendly building with laundry in basement (also allowed in apts), basement play area, bike storage, private storage available,live-in super, and porter . From this ideal UWS location one can walk to Lincoln Center; it is equidistant to Central and Riverside Park, steps to Citarella, Fairway, and Trader Joe’s. The 72nd Street 1,2,3, express and local trains are two short blocks away and bus service is conveniently around the corner.

Originally built as a luxury rental building and opened in 1923. This brick and stone nine-story building was designed in a neo-Renaissance style and incorporated elements of the palazzos of sixteenth–century Rome. This is the only residential building on the UWS built by New York architectural firm F.P. Platt & Brother, best known for their designs of the Art Deco self-service Horn & Hardart automat restaurants.
