I want to void the contract due to murder in apt

My husband and I signed the contract last week, yesterday I decided to walk by the building and just get a feel for the neighborhood. I past by the building and walked into an old friend who coincidently lives there. Long story short she told me there was a triple homicide and suicide in the exact apartment recently. This is a little too much for me right now and with the holidays I have not been able to reach our lawyer over the weekend. Can I void the contract? There is NO way I can live there Help!
