Discussion about
Ok this has nothing to do with real estate so moderators feel free to remove if necessary, but I’m looking for peoples feedback on Spectrum mobile as their phone service. I have T-Mobile and am not unhappy with them but as I have Spectrum internet, I can try Spectrum mobile for free for one year then it’s $30 per month so that’s a savings potential of almost $1000 per year. I know Spectrum mobile uses Verizon towers but I’m trying to find actual feedback from Spectrum mobile users to see if it’s worth the change or it’s just too good to be true….
I think it depends on your criteria -
price
what combo of personal and business
what makes you unhappy with Tmo?
If they are using Verizon, it's definitely not the same as a direct Verizon customer so how do you rate that vs your issues with Tmo
travel elements, domestic and foreign
multiple people / #s on the plan / discount
assume you keep your #s regardless
Yes I have heard Spectrum mobile is not as good as Verizon even though Spectrum uses Verizon towers. Priority is given to Verizon customers. But I really do not use my mobile phone that often, as I’m semi retired, it’s not like I need my phone for work or other reasons . It is just me, one line, and it’s not an essential part of my life. And according to Spectrum, I can keep my number although I may need to upgrade my phone. T-Mobile is raising the rates of many of their older plans such as mine which irritates me a little. It’s $75 a month a pay so it’s tempting to switch to $0 with no obligation, I can always switch back if it’s horrendous. But I have yet to hear any horror stories. We will see if I really need to upgrade my phone as I’m happy with my current one and if an upgrade costs more money, that may make me stay put
your situation makes total sense. Best of luck
so much for Tmobile promise not to raise prices...
As an aside, this is the joy of the Anything section. We can discuss as we wish. I switched to TMobile but I hardly ever use the cell phone.
