The building requires major capital investment from its ownership group. The elevator regularly breaks down, the front door has been broken for ages and the building has bug and mice infestation issues.
The building's laundry room caught fire, but repair work has yet to be finished over six months later. A few years ago, the building had scaffolding around the perimeter for over a year (management originally told tenants 90 days!) while brickwork was being completed.
The co-op has changed building managers several times in the past few years – all of which have been generally unhelpful in resolving building issues.
The building has sparse amenities – only a part-time doorman (4 PM to 11 PM), no gym, no rooftop, no common space. Don’t be duped by the relatively large apartments and relatively reasonable rents.
