140 West 86 experience - NYC

We had a terrible experience living in 140 West 86. We found the super to be combative and unresponsive. Complaints to management went nowhere. Our service calls took weeks if not more to get resolved. There was a mice problem. The radiator during the winter months will make continuous loud noise and will make sleeping next to impossible. Most likely management will keep most of your deposit after vacating. The elevator is a work in progress. The basement is filthy. The staff speaks to English. Our experience was TERRIBLE and we regret living at 140 West 86 street.
