LeHavre on the water, originally known as Lefrak House was built in 1956 . The plumbing and electrical systems are now over 60 years old. That's how long the cockroaches have been here as well, and invite themselves into the apartments as frequent guests. If the site accepted pictures I could show you all of the recent guests in mine. The structure built out of cinder-blocks and steel could not be built today by Buildings code standards. And if you believe that the cost of maintenance is worth that part of the cost of living in LeHavre separate of the price and the mortgage, your rent stabilized neighbors pay about half the cost of your maintenance cost in rent.
