I am a member of the Board of Co-op 317 East 18th Street and am excited to give readers the latest update. We formed a new Board several years ago and except one member - a long term owner who cares about the bldg - we recruited 4 more members with various background from Accounting, Sales, successful entrepreneur and Finance. With this reform, we have implemented several drastic measures for improvement. In the result of our effort, bldg finance has been improved with re-fi and tentative maintenance increase. A new bldg management is hired and our management capability has increased and communications with tenants/owners have been imporved drastically. We have developed bldg improvement strategy and are currently in the phase one - exterior repair. We will be improving interior as a second phase. Our Board has a vision for comfortable living community and our future. You will be surprised how much changes have already done to our bldg.
