Anyone who seriously think about renting an apartment in the Solaire should be aware that 2 of the 3 elevators emit ongoing, persistent, hammer like, reverberating sounds that travel though the walls and are audible in some of the apartments. My family and I have been listening to those annoying, mind killing sounds for the last 2 months in our bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen and been given the round around by the building’s management and the elevator experts they employ when we requested that the sounds be eliminated. Other tenants have contacted us telling us that they hear the sounds, too. The sounds can also be heard in the shared hallways. It is ultimately your decision if you want to sign a lease in the Solaire, but we felt it was important for you to have this information before you make such an important decision. [less]
