Gateway Plaza

Building 600. We moved into our apartment in January and we have already had the following problems: broken shower door, broken doorbell, broken intercom, broken phone jack, broken sink panel, unreliable toilet, peeling paint, crumbling caulking, drafty windows, and water damage from upstairs. Some of these things we should have noticed but didn't. (Now we know what to look for in future.) We heard the bad reputation of Gateway Plaza, but we also realized people really didn't seem to move out much, so we figured the "shithole" status may have been overblown. Obviously, based on our experience, we may have been wrong. Are these problems typcial?
