Randy Smith who works with Citihabitats, Zumper Real Estate and with Evan Rugen at Smith-Rugen Real Estate is not an honest dealer if he's representing a landlord and you are a potential renter. As the agent representing a landlord, Randy Smith was dishonest to potential renters. Despite having paid $500 as a 'good faith' agreement to keep an apartment off the market while an application wound through their "process," the apartment stayed listed on street easy and showed up in FB ads. Then the apartment was rented to a different applicant who appeared after the good faith deposit was paid but who offered to move in prior to the date the apartment was supposedly available. This agent will take more than 2 days to reply to an application, will string a renter along, and then rent to someone else. And you’ll have to take the initiative to get your “good faith deposit” back from them. Highly recommend you keep hunting if you find this agent on the other side of a potential deal. [less]
