Hi, I purchased shares for coop two years ago. At that time of purchase, the boards put me a condition for escrow deposit ($20,000) corresponding the amount of two years of maintenance fee and I followed the condition. About six months earlier, I discussed with the management office manager regarding the escrow deposit. The manager said that escrow deposit will be deducted from the account if I don't pay maintenance fee more than three months. Since I was short on a budget I stopped the payment of maintenance. Three months later, I got a legal notice of vacancy within three days unless I don't pay the due amount. The management office did not deduct fees from my escrow account. I had to pay for the late maintenance fees as well as legal fees which costs $1,500. Now two years have passed and I am wondering that I could get the escrow deposit back. The escrow clause mentioned that the board will disburse the deposit as long as there is no late payment upon its approval. Please advise me about this...I need a help.. Thank you. [less]
