527-541 East 72nd Street is a four building Cooperative that was built in 1894, rebuilt in 1938 and converted in 1973. These townhouse style walkups are often called “The Black & Whites” because of the building’s unique two-tone black and white exterior.

Located at the eastern end of 72nd street on a cul-de-sac block, these buildings enjoy peace and quiet thanks to a lack of through traffic.
