Building: 495 West Street

The innovative 35,000 square foot development located at 495 West Street, between Jane and West 12th Streets, was designed with the vision of transforming the Hudson River waterfront. The building, commissioned by Tamarkin Co. and designed by CT Architect, is an eleven-story, nine-unit loft-style condominium featuring seven full-floor residences and two duplex penthouses. Each unit boasts an exceptional, unobstructed panoramic view of the water, with sizes ranging from 2,000 to 4,700 square feet.

The building’s distinct character is achieved through its design elements, including forty-eight-foot-long industrial steel windows and alternating bands of corbelled bricks. These features not only contribute to the building’s remarkable presence along the waterfront but also serve as a nod to its maritime warehouse roots. The raw-space interiors reveal the building’s robust concrete superstructure, providing purchasers with the flexibility to create their own layouts.
