Description

Developed by the Macklowe Group in the spirit of the 1920’s, 145 East 76th Street’s design is reflected in the SLCE Group’s architect’s admiration of the grand residential addresses on Fifth and Park Avenues and Central Park West. Like the Pre War archetypes, the esthetic of each façade carries over into the lobby achieving a cohesive style statement.

The 20 residences of 145 East 76th Street are a study in gracious use of space, with high ceilings, user friendly fenestration and elegant details. The placement of living rooms, dining rooms and libraries orchestrate broad sweeping spaces. With 10’ ceilings the tops of doors are aligned at 8’6” producing a cornice that lends to the flow space, one room to another. Baths and kitchens are not Pre War in the least, and are large and more sumptuous; appealing to the way we live today.

Floor plans are of classic Pre War flavor, with distinct foyers and galleries, grand living areas and generous master suites. Oversized windows, 6’5” tall by 7’ wide, white marble baths and 6’ whirlpool tubs, individually controlled AC and heating for each room, eat- in kitchens, housekeeper’s suites, and Juliette balconies complete the modern piece of the picture.

Of the 15 floors, floors 2 through 9 have two units per floor, consisting of similar plans of 3 bedrooms and a library. The “A” line faces south with exterior exposures for all rooms and the “B” line with two bedrooms facing the lovely cortile or garden courtyard. The 10th floor is the start of the full floor footprint; each with large rectangular galleries, master suites with sitting areas, formal dining rooms, eat-in-kitchens and housekeeper’s suites. Floor 10 boasts a wrap terrace. Floors 11, 12, 14, and 15 are similar in plan and have linear balconies. The Penthouse has a wrap set back terrace and is a large two bedroom with formal dining room.

The building plays host to an elegant dining and entertainment space with a catering kitchen which allows residents to host intimate gatherings or lavish sit down dinners for 250. The space opens on to the Cortile, a 45’ X 30’ formal garden courtyard accessed through set of French doors from dining room.

Modern in every sense of the word, 145 East 76th street has 24/7 white glove service, recreation area, bike room, auxiliary laundry and ironing rooms and is pet friendly.
In addition, there are 13 private office, home hobby or storage rooms in a range of sizes with 10 foot ceilings, plumbing, telephone and electrical service, with both natural and artificial light, Advanced building monitoring system that offers status indicators instantly to the concierge desk, superintendent’s office and home— this system also encompasses the smoke, panic, and intrusion alarm for the ultimate in security.
