Hi, I went for a board interview in a coop. The entire board was voted out a few months prior and the management company had quit on the building. The new board president also resigned after the elections. But now they have a new management and a new VP but no board president. I saw in the minutes that they had some mismanagement where they spent 150K on a boiler repair to realize that they would have to have it replaced for the same price a year later. Now they are taking out a loan . They got in two separate lawsuits with shareholders and spend 70K but were just settling. I was worried about these issues but wanted to proceed anyway because i loved the unit so much. When i went to the coop interview and the VP of the board said the previous board president was crazy and had anger issues which resulted in him punching another shareholder in front of the building and the lawsuit that they were involved in with a different shareholder was in fact not because of non payment but it was racially motivated and that they didn't like the shareholder and made his live miserable and eventually ended up in a lawsuit. These people still live there. Should i still consider this apartment or run? [less]
