I lived in this building for a couple years. I was taken in by the river view and the location can't be beat. Unfortunately, during that time there was non-stop building renovation and construction noise every weekday and sometimes weekends. The southwest exposure meant more noise from delivery trucks, sometimes ConEd doing construction with jackhammers for weeks, and people sitting at the benches... [more]

I lived in this building for a couple years. I was taken in by the river view and the location can't be beat. Unfortunately, during that time there was non-stop building renovation and construction noise every weekday and sometimes weekends. The southwest exposure meant more noise from delivery trucks, sometimes ConEd doing construction with jackhammers for weeks, and people sitting at the benches outside at the triangle at the intersection hanging out, laughing and talking loudly late into the night. The A and B line apartments probably got the most noise. The lower floor apartments have to deal with scaffoldings outside their windows and people smoking and have long conversations on their phones. These are things that the broker will not tell you, things I wish I knew before moving in. I imagine it will be quieter and more livable when the renovations are finished. [less]
