Management has an exterminator but their work does nothing. For some months I was killing a few cockroaches a day. It was so bad I could hear them running across the oven at night cause the pots make noise, I would try to catch them right at turning on the lights. (What finally helped controlled it was some stuff I bought on Amazon.) I'm pretty sure behind the oven is a big area of holes that bugs can get from other parts of the of the building/apartments. I've lived in NY over 10 years and never had such bad roach issue. -there's some centipede type bugs -had a pantry moth situation for over half year I was trying to fight off. - Major yellow water leak--some tenant upstairs caused water to leak, it has happened multiple times as the fire department has come several times to the building. This time it leaked to my apartment and for like an hour my bedroom was raining yellow liquid?? what is it ??--I don't know, but I had to throw out many pieces of damaged stinky personal property that can't be easily cleaned. This has happened multiple times why didn't management do something about it. Fire department has records of this. This could have been prevented on multiple occasions. Management claimed they were not negligent... but you didn't do anything the last few times this has happened or about the leaks so--if that's not negligent, what is? - every now and then your kitchen sinks fill up with disgusting foam stuff. Sometimes it goes up so much you get it all over the counter and even floor. Everytime I waste an hour or two to clean up this mess. - outlets issue--there's 2 outlets in the kitchen, 2 in the living room, only 1 in the bedroom, none in the bathroom. I think most apartment rooms have 3 each. We have to use a ton of long wired cable bars all over everywhere. The fuse blew out one time when we had a 6000 btu (barely sufficient for the living room size) and like a light or fan on. - window too wide for a/c. Window is 42" wide, try finding a window A/C unit that fits. - on multiple occasions we have lost hot water or more than just a few hours. - My intercom buzzer has not been working for months, they upgraded it and after calling them saying it no longer worked, I waited for months, missed packages and still hasn't worked yet. Before it worked but barely-- you can't hear the voice at all. - heat is either non existent over several days or too hot, or comes on only in the morning. It seems someone has to complain and physically come to change it (to increase it or not). So you can have a whole too cold weekend and then monday morning be way too hot and dry when everything turns on. - there's no closets, the walls are uneven, so try mounting closet things on that kind of wall. I had to bend the brackets to create any bit of a hanging closet. - bathroom paint and tiles after years still leaves some pinkish tinted stuff when you try to clean it in anyway - many packages lost. management could easily build some package lockers (like in an other building I lived in) but they could care less. - hardwood floor is not typical hardwood floors, it's very rough. If you try to clean it with a paper towel your paper towel will be shredded. --they try to make some parts of the apartment look nicely renovated to attract tenants... but look closer you realize it's a minimal job they did. - hope to post photos somewhere.
