Discussion about 225 East 63rd Street in Lenox Hill
I have mixed reviews on this building. While the renovations are beautiful, the construction is a real pain for residents. It's loud and everything is covered in dust. I have mixed reviews on this building. While the renovations are beautiful, the construction is a real pain for residents. It's loud and everything is covered in dust. It feels like the Leasing Office emails at least once every 3 weeks about some type of repair that needs to occur - the latest being the icing on the cake. They're shutting the hot water and AC off at 3AM. It's 90 degrees in NYC and how are people supposed to get ready for work? The hot water and AC aren't expected to go back on until 6PM. What are you supposed to do with pets, the elderly and young children who are home all day?! Again it's 90 degrees in NYC with no breeze and no ceiling fans. We were given a week's notice and no options to accommodate. We pay enough to live in this building and this is utterly ridiculous. Also, don't expect to sleep past 4AM most mornings, I don't know what's going on outside, but there's constant loud noise with the dumpster that sits in front of the building. On the plus side, the building staff is super nice and accommodating. I question whether that is worth the price with the construction, noise and millions of repairs!! Also, there is no gym or roofdeck - another reason this place isn't worth the money! Renter beware! [less]
