The Police Building concierge

I visit my family regularly here at 240 centre street nyc. This building is great, perfect location, but the afternoon Concierge is just unbearable. He is very rude and wants to know too much information when we go visit. Once he even tried to slam the door on our face when he "did not know who we were." Everyone in the building that I know complains about this situation. I am not sure why nothing has been done about it. I've never been to a high priced living building where the Concierge acts as he does. But other than that the other staff is great, very respectable and professional.
