District G&T programs

Does anyone know anything (good or bad) about the UWS district G&T programs (i.e. not the citywide ones)? Also, I recently learned that one benefit of the citywide program is that some go K-8, solving the middle-school search as well. Do any of the district ones do the same, or do all of those only go K-5? Thanks in advance.
