I wanted to post something about this building because I have lived here for nearly 3 years, and have a lot of information to share. While apartments in this building may appear to be too good to be true - in that they're LARGE and priced lower than many - that's because they ARE. In the three years that I've lived here, I've had every nightmare issue a tenant could dream of. Days without heat or hot water (in the dead of winter, mind you), leaks and cave-ins in our cieling from rain water collecting on the roof of our building (this happened six times), and MICE - tons of mice, a situation which seemingly cannot be resolved. The only reason my roommate and I have stayed here for so long is because the rent is affordable and the space is large, and frankly, it is too stressful and expensive to move. But for new tenants looking, I would warn you against this building. Your life will be full of STRESS and misery if you move in here; in the past year, we've had several tenants come and quickly go from the building as soon as they see the issues with mice, leaks, and no hot water. Save yourself a lot of trouble and live elsewhere. PS - Johnny Rockets is on the first floor and employees have full run of the apartment building. They use the elevator all the time and leave their bike in the entrance to the building, blocking it. Another huge con! [less]
