building at 555 West 23rd Street

Can anyone comment on the level and quality of service in this building? I looked at it when it was new, and of course it was impeccable. Can anyone comment on the level and quality of service in this building? I looked at it when it was new, and of course it was impeccable. Upon another look, I was neither surprised nor disturbed to see that the concierge service company was gone. Upon my most recent visit, during which I finally found what I felt might be the right apartment, I was dismayed to see the lobby in a relative state of disrepair. The sofas seemed beat up, the wood walls seemed to be prematurely aging, and the attendant's desk was absolutely filthy on it's front panel, with durst and scuff marks. I wondered if this was a reflection on the service, maintenance and care of the building in general, and/or a sign of poor financial health. After all, the retail rentals don't appear to have gone very well. An additional question is: does anyone have any information on the northeast corner of 11th and 23rd? Will any new construction be taking place, wiping out many a view? Lastly, does anyone have information on the current construction project taking place adjacent to the building on it's western end?
