The building attracts young couples who aren't ready for the expense of a full 2-bed, 2 bath apartment. The couples move in, have a baby, and within 2-3 years their family has outgrown their apartment. One couple had a 1-bedroom in the Morad, moved into a 2-bedroom, then sold the 2-bedroom--when their 3rd child was born--to move out of the City. There are many small children in the building, a family-oriented building, complete with a per-friendly policy. There are still a few "original" tenants, still renting, but some older tenants have passed in the last 3 years, causing their apartments to come up for sale. The light in the building is the same as ever, no new construction is of concern. The apartments facing south are as bright as ever. Many apartments have sold in this building over the years, each sale getting the green light from the buyers' lawyers, so the financials are apparently constantly under scrutiny and getting approval.
