Continental Towers - 301 E. 79th Street

Can anyone please tell me what this building is like? A few, very experienced brokers that are family friends really panned it - especially for a young family like mine (too many young people, one bedrooms, rentals, low resale value, not many families). We've been "offered" a 3 bed/3 bath for sale before it's listed in the fall. The apt. is two combined one bedroom units, has a nice view, but needs to be renovated. While the price seemed pretty attractive for the area, it's about an 11% premium to other sales in the building. However, I haven't been able to determine sale prices for combined units.
