Building: The Waywest

The Waywest cooperative is one of the West Village’s premier buildings located on cobblestone West 12th Street between Washington and West Streets. It was originally constructed in 1898 as a cold storage warehouse, converted to residential homes in 1979. The generous lobby features an open air garden and an important sculpture by Douglas Abdell. There are seven floors including four duplex penthouses on the 7th and 8th floors.
