Building: The Marx

The Marx condominium is perfectly situated in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, a neighborhood famed for some of the city’s most upscale restaurants, shopping, and cultural institutions, and Just a few blocks from both Central Park and Carl Schurz Park. The Marx offers a tranquil retreat from city life, while the convenient proximity of the Second Avenue subway line allows for quick connection to the rest of what this great island has to offer.

Designed by Isaac & Stern Architects to respect the fabric of the community while setting a new standard for materiality and fenestration, The Marx is both subtle in volume yet striking in beauty. The façade is comprised of ebonized metal and oversized casement style windows, allowing for the residences to be bright and airy, modern, but with a nod to the aesthetics of the Art Deco period. Each space features a collection of carefully curated finishes and thoughtful layouts, swathed in tones of cloud white and neutrals. From the white oak flooring to the porcelain and stainless steel accents, no detail has been spared. Scandinavian inspired kitchens come fully appointed with design-forward appliances from brands such as Asko, Kohler, and Viking. The luxurious bathrooms feature Kohler fixtures and custom teak millwork. Crowning The Marx is a large communal roof deck with city views and BBQ.
