Building: The Larrimore

The Larrimore, at 444 East 75th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, is on the southwest corner of York Avenue and 75th Street. It is a 20-story mid-century red-brick residential co-op built in 1961 and designed by Milton F. Kirchman. There are 156 apartments and one commercial space on the first floor.

Most units are spacious alcove-studios (aka, comfortable junior one bedrooms) and large one-bedrooms, with a few two-bedrooms and larger apartments throughout. The upper floors enjoy spectacular sunrises over the East River and open views to the north. West facing windows have impressive sunsets from the upper floors.
