Building: The Hohner Building II

This Hohner building was built from 1894-1895. In 2001 the building was converted from commercial lofts into residential apartments. While it was originally a single building on a single lot, the sponsor divided the building in half (north/south) and the city technically recognizes it as 2 separate buildings on 2 separate lots. Each half has its own independent condo association, this building’s association is called The Soho Tower. Each building has an entrance on Mercer (serving the West line of apartments) and Broadway (serving the East line of apartments).

While the buildings are separate, there are some shared items in the buildings, including a rear atrium, cooling towers and water tanks. The commercial space, currently Scoop clothing, spans both buildings.
