The Hamilton, 420 Riverside Drive, combining historical beauty with vibrant family warmth just celebrated its 100th birthday. Built in 1912 on the site of the 1836 Greek revival Carrigan Mansion, the building was designed by the famed architect Gaetan Aiello in the modern Renaissance style and was originally named Cliff House.420 Riverside Drive was converted to coops in 1983.

Facing Riverside Park at 114th Street, The Hamilton features apartments with some original Edwardian layouts, mahogany paneling and old world detail, fireplaces, beamed ceilings, French doors, windowed bathrooms, hardwood floors, oversized windows, large foyers, high ceilings, cross ventilation and more.
A huge elegant marble lobby with beautiful stained glass windows recently recreated by one of the building’s resident owners welcomes all who enter. Even the internal halls are carefully appointed, with original wrought iron railings and marble steps.
