Building: Liberty Towers

Liberty Towers is a twin, cylindrical-shaped apartment complex located along the Hudson River at 33 Hudson Street in downtown Jersey City. Completed in 2003, Liberty Towers West and Liberty Towers East rise 37 stories and stand among the tallest and most distinctive buildings in Jersey City, each measuring approximately 360 feet high. Originally called “Liberty View Towers,” the complex replaced the S.A. Wald Company building that previously occupied the site. Designed by Jordan Gruzen in the postmodern style, the towers feature facades of aluminum, brick, and glass, housing a total of 648 luxury residences.
