Building: Hudson Tea Condo

Before Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, there was Sir Thomas Lipton, the man behind Lipton Tea. 40-year-old, Glasgow-born entrepreneur and innovator Sir Thomas Lipton envisioned an opportunity to make tea universally accessible with guaranteed quality at acceptable prices. Lipton purchased tea estates in Ceylon and arranged packaging and shipping at low costs. In 1883 he established the Thomas J Lipton Co with headquarters & factory in Hoboken New Jersey.

Today the Lipton innovation lives on as the headquarters have been converted to the beautiful Hudson Tea Condo. The Hudson Tea Condo is comprised of 2 buildings 1500 Hudson Street & 1500 Washington Street. The buildings are located on the beautiful Hudson River waterfront with scenic promenade. The Loft style condos feature spacious rooms, 13ft ceilings and 8ft windows, many units have water views and all have washer & dryers. Hudson Tea provides easy access to New York City with ferry & Bus services just a block away. Additionally there is a complimentary shuttle bus to the Path Trains.
