56 Beaver Street was built in 19th century and comprised of 39 apartments spread of 8 stories with commercial space on the ground floor. Historical steakhouse “Delmonico’s” opened here in 1837, becoming the first fine dining restaurant in the country. Rental building assembled from 48 and 52 Beaver as well as 2 South William Street.
