Building: Cocoa Exchange

The Cocoa Exchange is a beautiful triangular-shaped landmarked full-service condominium that is reminiscent of the Flatiron Building and is replete with history. It was built in 1904 in neo-Renaissance style by Century Realty Company and designed by Clinton & Russell. The building was home to the headquarters of the Munson Steamship Line from 1904 until 1921, and the New York Cocoa Exchange from 1931 to 1972.
Today the Cocoa Exchange is a boutique full-service 15 story building containing 126 condominium apartments. One immediately notices the many handsome features of the lobby: rosewood, Venetian plaster, fashioned Botticino marble slab walls and an aluminum leaf ceiling.
