Building: Arris Lofts

Standing at 27 Thomson Avenue in Long Island City, Arris Lofts was originally constructed as an Eagle Electric factory building in 1920. It was renovated in 2007 into 237 luxury apartments over eight floors, but retains its original industrial feel.

The building occupies a triangular lot and the footprint of the building mirrors this shape.The building’s remarkable triangular shape is echoed in the landscaping of the courtyard which features a pond, lap pool, and garden.

Building amenities include a full-time doorman, a children’s playroom, valet parking service, garage, roof deck and fitness center. The ceilings are upwards of 17 feet high and kitchens have appliances from Electrolux and Liebherr.
