The 94-102 Hamilton Place HDFC co-op is a complex of several buildings with 54-units that occupies the entire western side of the block from 141st to 142nd Streets. The southern cornerstone is 94 Hamilton Place, named Kaaterskill-South, a 7-story multifamily elevator building. 100 Hamilton Place, also 7-stories, is aptly named Kaaterskill-North and anchors the 142nd street corner. There are 4 single-story maisonette units interspersed along the row: 92, 96, 98 and 102. (Kaaterskill Falls is a famous two-stage waterfall in the eastern Catskill Mountains of New York.)

94-102 Hamilton Place is an HDFC co-op with income restricted to 165% of the area median income (AMI) set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) each year. There’s a resident superintendent and the co-op is pet friendly.

Hamilton Place is a 7-block, one-way, diagonal non-thorough fare street, with a gentle, neighborhood environment very close to the bustle and business of Broadway and Amsterdam. There’s Alexander Hamilton Park & Playground to the south on 141st. Two blocks to Riverside Park & Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park with indoor olympic-size pool, ball fields, track, hockey rink, and promenade with panoramic Hudson River views. Four blocks to 22 acre St. Nicholas Park with dog run, playgrounds, ball courts. The surrounding neighborhood has experienced steady growth with cafes, restaurants, pubs and services including supermarket, laundry, bodegas and hardware.

The Hamilton Heights historic neighborhood has a number of landmark buildings, most prominently the Hamilton Grange National Memorial, which was Alexander Hamilton’s home that was relocated to St. Nicholas Park, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. City College of New York celebrated its centennial in 2007 and is an important and active presence in the area.
