Building: 907 Fifth Avenue

Built in 1915 and designed by noted luxury apartment architect J.E.R. Carpenter, 907 Fifth Avenue is a pre-war building located between 71st and 72nd Street.

The twelve-story, limestone building was among the first large apartment buildings to replace the private mansions that lined Fifth Avenue above 59th Street at the turn of the 20th century. 907 Fifth Avenue was built in the Italian-Renaissance-palazzo-style around a central court. When it opened, there were two twelve-room apartments per floor. Many of these apartments have since been sub-divided into smaller but still grandly elegant apartments.

907 Fifth Avenue received a Gold Medal of the American Institute of Architects in 1916. The building has 12 floors and 48 apartments and employs a full time doorman. Amenities include a fitness room, laundry room, rooftop deck and common storage room. The building is pet friendly and W/D are allowed. The building allows up to 33% financing and a transfer fee of 3%.
