Building: 860 Park Avenue

860 Park Avenue is a landmarked prewar building with white glove doorman service. Comprised of only 15 residences on 16 stories (typically one per floor), the building is served by two elevators.

The architectural firm of York and Sawyer, specialists in the design of palatial banks including The Federal Reserve Bank at 33 Liberty Street and the Bowery Savings Bank on East 42d Street, completed this handsome structure in 1925. By 1945, the building converted to a cooperative.

The building’s Upper East Side location (between East 77th and East 78th Streets) is near fine local restaurants, museums, and retail. As of 9/16, the building was zoned for PS 6 (a coveted elementary school) and access to the public subway (on Lexington Avenue) and nearby bus transportation is very good.
