Building: 84 East 7th Street

Built between 1856 and 1884 in Italianate style, 84 East 7th Street is a five story former tenement building featuring 8 floor-through apartments on four floors with ground level retail. Most apartments feature original wide plank flooring and some also have exposed brick walls. All feature modernized kitchens with full size appliances.

Architectural details include molded masonry lintels, rectangular sills, and a historic modillioned cornice. The main entry features paneled pilasters and ornamental star tie-backs. Modern exterior upgrades include double-hung windows. The property first appears on 1856 tax assessments and was converted to the tenement structure seen today some time before 1884.
