Building: 760 Park Avenue

760 Park Avenue is a 14-story neo-Renaissance building located on the northwest corner of 72nd Street and Park Avenue. The building was constructed in 1924 by Starett Brothers & Eken, a prolific early twentieth century commercial construction company responsible for the building of many important high-rises, including the Empire State Building. Designed by W. L. Rouse and L.A. Goldstone, 760 Park Avenue is composed of 13-room full floor apartments with four bedrooms and four maids’ rooms. Starett Brothers & Eken were also responsible for the construction of 660 Park Avenue in 1926, in which the apartment configurations were virtually identical to those that had been offered at 760 Park Avenue.
