Building: 68-74 Trinity Place

68-74 Trinity Place is being turned into a new mixed-use building that will stand at almost 500 feet tall. Pelli Clarke Pelli is the designer.

Trinity Church will occupy more than 90,000 square feet on the first seven floors, while more than 150,000 square feet is devoted to 111 condominium units on the upper floors. The 44-story building is expected to be completed sometime in 2018.

The old building that stood at 68-74 was a prewar annex to Trinity Church, but the church voted to replace the almost 100-year-old structure.

The early designs show a contemporary glass and steel structure and since the area is filled with many other prewar structures, the Pelli Clarke Pelli structure will surely stand out.

Located in the heart of the Financial District and just blocks from the Hudson River, 68-74 Trinity Place is convenient to public transportation, as well as local shopping and dining locations and parks.
