Building: 62 Montague Street

Designed by Montrose Morris, the Arlington was built in the 1880’s, and over the last century it has been home to many luminaries including playwright Arthur Miller, artist/filmmaker Marie Menken and poet Willard Maas. The building is now listed on the National Historic Register for its historic character and charm. This 10 story elevator building was subsequently renovated into cooperative apartments, each more unique than the next. The intimate and elegant lobby has a European feel, with high ceilings, mosaic tile flooring and original plaster details and columns. Centrally located in Brooklyn Heights, it is steps from the Promenade and all the neighborhood services of Montague Street. There are spectacular skyline and harbor views from the building’s common roof deck.
