59 East 79th Street A.K.A John H. & Caroline Iselin Residence was constructed in 1908 and completed in 1909. Foster, Gade & Graham where the Architects responsible for this magnificent French Renaissance townhouse that features Grayish Bricks and matching limestone trimmings.

John H. Iselin was one the most influential NYC lawyers and Assistant District Attorney of that time and lived in the town house with his family until 1919. The following owner named Norman H. Davis, a banker that accumulated his wealth primarily from Cuba, with his wife and children purchased the home in 1919. Norman Davis was a financial adviser to the following United States Presidents Wilson, Coolidge, Hoover and Roosevelt. The property was converted to a rental property in 1941 and remain as such until today.

59 East 79th Street is a 6 story rental building with an elevator. Most units have pre-war high ceilings, pane glass windows, updated kitchen, updated bathrooms, hardwood floors.
