Building: 459 Washington Street

The John Watts Condominium at 459-463 Washington Street in northwest TriBeCa is a seven story loft building constructed around 1920 and once used to store spices and other dry goods, it was converted to condos in 2002. Each of the building’s floors are divided into North and South units for a total of 12 residential lofts and 2 commercial retail spaces. Most of the lofts feature exposed wood beams, cast-iron columns, wide-plank hardwood floors, wood-burning fireplaces and an interior width of 32ft+. The building features include a common roof deck, deeded storage units and an oversized elevator that rises all the way to the roof level. Some units also have private “cabana” roof spaces.
