Building: 428 Greenwich Street

428 Greenwich Street is a historic five-story townhouse, located on the west side of Greenwich Street between Vestry and Laight in the legendary neighborhood of TriBeCa. A beautiful brick building constructed in 1883 by the well-known local architect Thomas R. Jackson for James Pyle, this landmarked property was gut renovated to provide an upscale and trendy living environment while still staying true to its characteristic masonry and cast iron elements. Extra high ceilings, polished wood panel floors, sun flooded windows, and exposed brick create a spacious, modern, and comfortable home.

428 Greenwich Street combines the rich industrial history of Tribeca with its current status as one of New York’s major cultural destinations. Still posted above the 2nd story windows is the signage of the Port Warehouse operation, a vintage homage to its 1918 residence in the building, while the 1st and lower floors house the hot, high-end sushi restaurant Azabu.
